What penalties are handed down for repeat offenders?
Due to high public support of DUI enforcement, penalties for repeat offenders are more severe than those for 1st time offenders. If you are convicted of a second or subsequent DUI or DWI, your sentence will likely include one or more of the following:
 Fines up to $5,000 or more
Up to five years or more jail time
Up to 5 years or more of probation
Driver's license suspension of up to 4 years or more
Restricted driver's license
Safety school
Alcohol or drug related evaluation and treatment program
Community service
Ignition interlock
